Strength, we need it, on those tough days of our lives. And encouragement? We definitely need that when we sometimes feel like we are losing our way.
Every single day, we need the scriptures to lead us and guide us. When we are going through a crisis, the scriptures provide us with all the comfort we need and the instructions for how to get out of troubled waters. How sweet is the Word of God, that when we have got hold of the truth about our situations, we get strengthened and refreshed in our seasons.
Are you a Christian woman who is facing certain difficulties in life? Maybe it’s:
- financial;
- spiritual growth;
- marital;
- loneliness;
- dealing with grief;
- motherhood;
- business-related;
- work-specific;
- depression;
- stress;
- time management;
- ill health
- home management, just to mention a few?
If yes, then I want you to be encouraged today that God has got your back. He is with you no matter how serious your situation is. Additionally, God has placed fellow Christians in our lives to also be there for us in our times of need, who can offer us sound biblical advice.
Beloved, this is why Good Word in Season was created. Good Word in Season is a new Christian blog committed to supporting Christian women in their challenging seasons of life from a biblical perspective.
The blog does this by providing useful topics and resources to help you in your struggles. Most importantly, Good Word in Season wants to point you to Jesus Christ through whom we have the assurance of life eternal and in abundance. Yes we may go through hills and valleys, rivers and seas, and at times fire, but in Christ, we are comforted.

The ‘Good Word’ Strengthens and Refreshes
The scriptures are the ‘Good Word’. As Christians, we know that the Word is life to us and our circumstances. When our situations look dead, the Word of God will bring life.
‘”It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.”‘
(John 6:63, ESV)
‘For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.’
(Hebrews 4:12, ESV)
In our seasons of life, the Word of God will get us through every hardship. We just need to believe and trust in God and His Holy Word.
Be Strengthened and Refreshed by One Another
‘As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.’ (Proverbs 27:17, NKJV)
We need one another in this world. I remember when I had my first child and I was trying to find my way around managing my time and home successfully, a close friend of mine gave me a good, concise biblical advice that felt like a light-bulb moment! She uplifted my spirit and I felt so relieved!
‘Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.’ (I Thessalonians 5:11, NKJV)
On Good Word in Season, my hope and prayer is that you will get encouraged and supported in whatever situation you are going through. I pray that may that light-bulb moment happen to you too.
‘Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.’
(Hebrews 13:16, ESV)
My hope is that any of the helpful resources that are shared on this blog, both spiritual and physical, may they truly aid you in getting through your hardships.
