Good Word in Season

Equipping Christian Women with Resources to Strengthen their Faith and Overcome Life’s Challenges
Hello! Welcome to Good Word in Season. My name is Kissa and am so glad you’ve come by.
About Good Word in Season below:
The beginning of Good Word in Season
Women face many challenges in their daily lives. The problems, issues or struggles that women go through are numerous. Just like any other woman in the world, I have encountered many challenges in life. However, God has been faithful. As a Christian, through all highs and lows, the good word of God has sustained me, and how pleasant is the word of God! I love these verses that state;
- ‘Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs it down, But a good word makes it glad.’ (Proverbs 12:25, NASB2020);
- A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word! (Proverbs 15:23, NASB2020);
- and ‘Like apples of gold in settings of silver, Is a word spoken at the proper time.’ (Proverbs 25:11, NASB2020).
Thinking of the issues that Christian women face in their lives, it’s only the timely word of God that can get us through life’s challenges. Hence why, from the verses above, I felt led to start ‘Good Word in Season’.
Good Word in Season aims to encourage women who believe in Christ to be strengthened and refreshed through His word in the difficult seasons of life, to avoid falling into the bondage of fear, hurt, pain, depression, just to name a few. I am simply a vessel being used by God to share the beautiful and satisfying truths of the scriptures with you my fellow sisters in Christ, in whatever situations we might be going through.
On this site, you will find helpful topics and resources that could be beneficial to you during your struggles. I intend to provide you with recommended resources that you may find useful.
The seasons
Today, no matter what season you are in dear sister, be it singleness, marital issues, stress, family issues, loneliness, financial problems, time management, health issues, struggling with sin, parenting e.t.c., I would love you to depend on the scriptures which can and will get you through whatever situation you are dealing with. Christ is all we need, and He has given us His word as a light unto our paths.
‘Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.’
(Psalms 119:105, NASB2020)
The writer herself
I am a born-again Christian woman, a Pastor’s wife, a mother to three gorgeous children (two girls and a boy), and an International Business graduate currently working in finance. My husband and I have been married since 2013. We serve in Life of Grace Church in Bedworth, UK, where my husband pastors.
Being raised in a Christian home in Malawi, Africa, I was taught the Word of God and attended church regularly. My involvement within the church has been with the youth, children and women’s ministries, plus singing in the Praise & Worship teams.
Before I started Good Word in Season, I solely ran a successful home-based cake business for almost 5 years. (I kept the recipes so you can download them for free if interested). Despite the business being successful, I felt deeply in my heart that there is a bigger purpose upon my life to fulfil.
I never doubted an inch on the decision to cease trading as a cake maker. It’s in those moments that you say, “God, I don’t know where you are taking me but I trust you in this journey”. Today, here I am with this site, and I can boldly say “He has made me glad!”
I strongly believe in God and His word, the Holy Bible. I can’t live without the word for it is my light in the tunnel and my joy in every situation that I am going through.
I am not perfect and I cannot say I’ve got the whole Bible figured out. Just like every other believer, am daily learning from the Bible and will never stop learning. Despite my imperfections, through all the challenges I’ve faced in life, the Lord God has sustained me through His word. Now I have a duty to fulfil. The scriptures state:
‘Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.’
(2 Corinthians 1: 3-4, NASB2020)
God has got me through my past difficult moments, and I know He is with me in any current or future trials I may face. Now my passion is to uplift other women in their struggles, from a biblical perspective.

(John 8:32, NASB2020)
